Always love these posts/threads!!!!! Even if not a PB in the pictures posted, it's always amazing to see others catches, and share them!!!
This is mine from 2016, it is my PB Pike, caught on Nipigon with a great friend of mine. Got this shark in 4 FOW on a 1/4 ounce hair jig trolling for Specks! What a hoot on 8lb test line, and a medium light rod!! 44"s bang on, but built like a tank!

It had been 5 or 6 years since I had been out to visit my brother in Vancouver and we wanted to fit in some kind of fishing trip. He asked me if I wanted to go for salmon or sturgeon. BC Salmon fishing is on my bucket list but I really wanted to have a go at Sturgeon. It was going to be a short visit, squeezed in before heading to Calgary to visit the inlaws so we only had 1/2 day for fishing. I've seen lots of TV shows filmed on the Fraser and had big dreams of landing an 8 footer. It turned out to be one of those days that you always hear about. You know - you should have been here yesterday.... We landed two 9' sturgeon before lunch and did a boat side release of a 7 footer as well. When the guide is fist pumping and can't wipe the grin off his face, you know its a special day.

Always love looking back. Suprised at how many great moments I had this year when I started looking at the photo album. This year was the start of a beautiful friendship with catfish... Something my fish-hawk friends put me on to and enjoyed by myself and my fishing buddy:
Rod
Really did not expect this in a tiny Quebec lake when I was targeting Pike. I went back a short time later and used a crank and I stopped counting (no joke)!!:
But Stripers will always be my favourite... An addiction I will NEVER shake (again a favourite moment with one of my boys!):
All in all I think 2016 was a good year!Rod

Landed this guy last year on the river. Was using a drop shot on light line which made for a great fight. Big credit goes to Rj and his guiding skills for putting us on the fish.
