Went Muskie fishing for the day on the Madawaska and put in at the airport launch. Came back to find someone had stolen the spare tire off of my trailer. A great day of fishing ruined by some POS who took time out of his busy day to rip me off. I'd been warned that there had be problems with stuff getting stolen out of vehicles and had taken my tool box out of the truck the night before. Never figured someone would steal my spare. I'll report it to the local police so they are aware.

Enough is enough. A sting operation has to be set in motion here. I won't go anywhere near that lake due to this nonsense.

Another case, a couple of weeks back, a guy had his roof racks and Kayak saddles stolen right off the top of this SUV.

Apparently theft is already running rampant this year.

For a few years there. I've heard of whole trailers being stolen.

I won't be going back anytime soon and I think that's the purpose of the thefts. Stay off of "our" lake. Good thing I have a hitch lock I guess.

Yep, and the year before too. Sure doesn't say much for the local cops, it's not like they aren't aware of all the thefts.
