22.5 Pound Ottawa River Pike

Been out pike fishing the last few weeks and the fishing been fairly slow while only catching 2-3 an outing averaging 4-6 pounds I have been able to snag a few over 10 including this 22.5 Pound Ottawa river Pike she measured in at 47 inches.

I think the growing muskie population has a big impact on the pike. the Rideau river has been impacted greatly by muskie

Ya I got to head up that way in the fall for a 50plus Incher. Not many Musky in this section of the Ottawa, but when you do see them there big.

Nice Fish, looks like a familiar spot. I was not able to get any big ones out of there this year. Nothing over 8lbs, glad to see someone was catching some big ones in there.
