Photobucket tip!
Photobucket tip!
Hey folks.
Awhile back Photobucket threw a real wrench at all their users. Without 3rd party hosting you were unable to use their service to post pics anywhere on the web without paying them a ridiculous fee. Luke and I talked about paying for a FH photobucket account but it just made no sense as we couldn't really control who used it and for what once the password was given out. There are other options but if you do like photobucket there is a work around I've found.
Here's the work around that I stumble into. Use their Mobile App on your phone. Upload from your smartphone to the app and then you can share it anywhere. I don't know why it works but it does.
Give it a try maybe!

Re: Photobucket tip!
Some of the browsers now have a work around as well, but now that I'm using imgur I'm sticking with it.

I don't know what they did over at PB. For awhile my old pics were affected on my own site then recently they all came back to life.smitty55 wrote:Some of the browsers now have a work around as well, but now that I'm using imgur I'm sticking with it.

What's the browser work around Smitty?

Another vote for Imgur. I post on Reddit a lot and it's what I use for there. Easy to sign up, use and it's free.

Try imgur. Very straightforward and easy to use. Register, upload pics. Click on pic and you'll get a window like thisbadbass72 wrote:I couldn't figure out how to post pictures before..guess I'm really screwed now lol

Click on copy beside BBCode and paste in your post.

RJ, NOTSOFATLUKE,
All my old posts come up with that third party notice now. Is there a way around that or is the workaround for future posts.
Cheers and Tight Lines,
Jeff

Re: Photobucket tip!
There is no work around for old posts Jeff. I have no idea why but my old ones are still fine. They died but came back. Got lucky I guess.
Using Imgur seems to be the ticket for ease of use and it's free, for now.
