With stable weather and shorter days, Bass are stuffing themselves in anticipation of winter. With surface temps of 78 to 81F, Smallmouth are down 25 to 40 ft, moving shallower at dusk and dawn. Dropshot with natural colours (MaxScent FlatWorms, if you can find them !!) for deep fish. NedRig in craw colurs when in transition. SkitterPops for the topwater bite. This pattern should last through September, until the lakes flip.
My buddy (with my fishing companion looking on) with a PB 21" on the weekend....when he drove the hook home and it came rocketing out of 35 fow...all he could say was "I didn't know Carp could do cartwheels"

Re: Central Frontenac Report
Haha no kidding, I only have two bags left and it's impossible to find those anywhere at the moment, well for quite a while now actually. I'm basically using the ones I have until it's impossible to have them hold on the hook haha.Corvus Lacus wrote:MaxScent FlatWorms, if you can find them !!
