Well it seems like we just may have converted a hunter into a fisherman... Dave traded in his guns for a crack at catching a double digit walleye on the Bay of Quinte, Nov. 27 2004. After having promised Dave a double digit walleye the pressure to find 'em was on. The day started pretty slow, with the morning entertainment provided by Dave. He asked us to pull ashore to take care of business (number 2). He certainly waited until the last minute to go by the amount of time it took him to leave his seat once we pulled up on shore... from there the morning picked up. Dave's spirits lifted and he started his morning with his first 11.5lbs walleye. In all the day produced a 11.5, 12.4 and a 10.0. It was a great day spent with an old friend. I think I can officially say he is now hooked.
Great job guys and congratulations Dave. You looked like a real pro there. Judging from the sounds on the video, I assume it was windy on the ole Quinte.
The wind was strong throughout the day but really picked up around 2:30 when we dropped our buddy off at the Desoronto boat launch. I mistakenly backed off the dock and sent waves over the boat... thankfully the wind settled back down or it did at least in The Reach.
Dave picked up the suit when we dropped our buddy Denis off in Desoronto... I think his comfort level increased 10 fold. I think he is a hooked on the idea of a survival suit also.
I think I need better production equipment.... waterproof camera, big boom mic. It would save me from hanging off the side console.
Cheers,
