Fish'n Canada Yesterday - How cool was that?
Muskie Attack
My son and I were fishing in the Arnprior Catfest 2 years ago. He was pulling in a ~15" catfish when, as it got near the boat this giant muskie, definetily over 40", came up and grabbed the cat. It wouldn't let go until it got right up beside the boat. That excitment made our day.

The bigger, the better!

A buddy of mine fishin the headpond for smallies last year had this happen. He set the hook on what he thought was a huge smallie, but up comes a 40" muskie with a smallie t-boned in its mouth. When it got close to the boat it let go and he thought the muskie was gone. Not a second later the muskie came back and smashed the bass right beside the boat. After gently easing the two fish back to the boat we were able to net them both
Absolutley incredible
P.S. I forget to mention how closley gaurded his horse shoe is

Actually happened 4 times to me if I recall.
The Big Rideau reeling in a pike it got hammered by another big pike 5 or 6 times. It was great watching it all happen in clear shallow water.
L.Lake in my float tube hooked into a small largemouth only to have it nailed by a big pike that hung on until it got a few feet from the tube.
A decent pike shot for a sunfish I had on up at Otty, biting it and giving it a quick shake.
Last year a big pike swelled just beside the boat trying to get my small eye.
Fun, crazy, hungry fish them pikeys.

I had this happen out fishing with a buddy on the Miss. between Appleton and Almonte. Twice in the space of about 2 hours. First one tore into a perch and just kept coming back at him. And the second we boated on a sunfish... wasn't hooked but wouldn't let go. Water was really clear at the time so it was pretty cool to watch.

You're going to have to show me that sometime!!!SnagThis wrote:Did anyone watch the episode of Fish'n Canada they played on OLN yesterday?
They were fishing for Walleye and Pike in Pilot Lake and Angelo's walleye got hit by a pike while he reeled it in.
I know this has happen to some people on the board, but I've never seen it happen (other then in pics). Very cool to watch. I'm glad I taped the episode while I was at work, some of my friends will get a kick out of seeing that!

Hello
In B.C and Alberta there are Bull trout. In fact bull trout are the official fish of Alberta. Anyways, Bull trout can grow very big ( up to 20 pounds) and are extremely aggressive. The best fly for them is a 10 inch cutthroat. Sometimes when you are stripping in a small trout, bull trout will come up and grab them. Usually they will hang on for a while before letting go. Sometimes the same bull will even go after another small trout you hook in the same place. Certainly this spices things up after catching small trout all day long. By the way, before anyone gets all worked up, the reference to best fly for bull trout is a 10 inch cutthroat is my attempt at humor. Obviously this an illegal and unethical way to catch bull trout.
