actually I released it. It was out of the ground for a little longer then I expected and had a hard time getting back through the grass. I hope se will be ok

it's releases like that one, that endanger the worm populations... Think of the next generations... and it doesnt seem like you have wet your gloves before handling her ,you are removing it's slime and reducing it's chances for survival.

Picked up two on the driveway this morning putting the garbage out..my wife thinks I'm nuts.... so do my neighbours

I always thought with the really big ones you had encouraged us to hold by the gill plates?
I'm pretty sure the regulations are clear and do in fact state that worms are out of season until the 3rd rainy weeknd in April/May, but that's just my interpretation.
