Rockland ramp pricing- 2005

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Agreed crazyhook.....it is a ripoff....most of the ramps are basically maintenance free here and they still charge money to launch.....I HATE paying launch fees....grrrrr

I'm from the states and come up there once a year and launch from Rockland. I've never had to pay a fee before. Is this something new or have I just gotten lucky and slipped through the cracks. Please educate me.

fifteen bucks..that's insane

Makes me appreciate all the free launches in my area

Think i paid 5 bucks once, long ago.

People will still pay it though because of lack of other options.

Cripes!!!

And I'm local and having a heart attack.
These boys are gonna price themselves right out of business.
Especially when Wendover is just up the road and free, and Petrie is just down the road, and likely to get a good make over very soon.

Muskeye, you must have started your day before 5am and left after 11pm?

That is one of my favorite stretches to bass fish......and I haven't been there in years because of that fee.....I absolutely refuse.....

So the locals who want me to buy gas...lunch and St. Albert Cheese curd.....are out of luck.....

If they made it $8....I bet they'd double the traffic through there....and in the process not have everyone pee pee off....

Lucky unless you come late in the year; then they might not be staffing the launch. Maybe some early risers get away with it also?

Hold your breath for Petries because if they put in a marina and new launch you can probably expect alot of changes re storage for some people and likely hefty fee increases all around as well.

Hi Ben,

You're right as that's last years pricing. There meeting was this week and the pricing I posted is the 2005 pricing and the website needs to be updated. Also, the ramps have not been put in yet as the water is too high but they're expected in by next friday.

Rockland Launch

Post by Seaweed »

Don't tell anyone.... but I launched for free today in Rockland. Petrie is still too high to use the launch with my car. You will be ok with a pick-up but I flooded the backseat last year... and learned to wait for the water to normalize before I try that again.

No one maning the hut.

High water. Still murky and full of floating debrise. I enjoyed a good run on the river though... motor fired up and once she got done burning up the fogger stuff out of her... she managed to get the Nitro moving to her 45 mph cruise speed no problem.

Water was smooth as glass. Pics to come.

Petrie has uped its fee to 8 bucks this year too.... getting hard to find a good spot for free. I am grateful that I get to launch for free because I keep my boat there permanent... at least for now.
