mmmmangler??? what's up???

what like crappie bay has alot of crappie?

walleye bay is known for walleye?

what about quinte? should we keep that a secret aswell?

i don't think you get the point. the point of this topic was to get people together.

drop it why don't you?

everybody else has but you!!!

naming of lakes has been done before you joined this board. i can understand your frustration, but roadside trout are there for a reason!!!!! to keep the lurkers away from the gems.

i could understand if i were naming some gems and how to get there. but i'm not. these lakes are for the average person. i'd rather name a certain off the road lake, then a gem. you know?

drop it!

joco wrote:this is a sad story for sher... :?

there is always some sad story like that every year.

but do have to say sled are fun..nothing beat them in snow.

and there great tools wen there used rightly.

joco
Those are the correct words Joco.."wen there used rightly"

The new sleds are definately fast, but where and when would you need to use that type of speed (90 - 130MPH)????...
Most sled accidents are caused by inexperienced riders, riders that have been consuming alcohal or riders that have lost control of their sleds because of HIGH rate of speeds...

I also lost a friend in a sled accident which occured during daylight between Quyon and Wolf Lake 25yrs ago....he left a wife and 4 children behind....he was riding responsibly on a groomed trail and was killed instantly when he was hit in the head by another rider's sled's ski. That rider was coming from the opposite direction and decided it was cool to "open her up" and see if he could get airbourne over a mogul on the trail.....he got airbourne alright and literally landed on my buddy on the other side of the mogul!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can't understand when people BRAG that their machine can do 110mph....big deal!!

SPEED and ALCOHAL KILLS.....

Ride responsible!!!

Ok,

Here is how you do it....

1) Who's up for an ice fishing outing?
2) We'll all meet up at location x. Please be advised the location we are going to is xxxxx km's from the location we meet.

Because of a-hole lurkers we will not post lake names. Those who really want to know can PM the organizer.

Seems logical!

We all need to stop with this....People have their opinions and I for one used to name lakes and still do for certain ones like Ottawa river or Lake Ontario, BOQ because there is so much water around it needs to be explored to find the areas...Gems and lakes I have been taken to now stay hush hush..right MMA & TMH...But playing devils advocate here..Are all 1400 views lurkers??? I have opened this thread about 100 times myself. And are every single lurker from around here or from everywhere. I can not see someone from Toronto coming all this way to fish a little lake in the middle of nowhere. Now I can see lurkers in this area doing that but how many are from around here. We do not know this. Now I have changed the way I do things thanks to MMA & TMH informing me with solid good info on what can happen to lakes that have been talked about. Maybe MMA could tell the story of his BC experience because it sure drove home the importance of keeping things on the down low.

2cents only...well maybe 1.5 cents  [/u]

some people just get kicks about harassing others eh mmma??

do a research on it in this forum, and look how many people name lakes.

are you going to find out everyone of them, send them harrassing letters to them aswell. it's not appreciated.

their's a way to approach things and that pm you sent me wasn't the way.

people like you should be banned from this forum.

go on your witch hunt somewhere else!!!

mods i think it's time to lock her up! and take away certain privelages from a certain person....

No but dudes from Pennsylvania come up here, camp and fish the crap out of our waters....(1 example).

Wouldn't mind if the odd one told me about some deer hunting spots and invited me down................

It was mentioned these lakes are on crown land, public access, i.e you can camp....

Trust me we had real issues on the muskies Canada site whereby lurkers were viewing pics, printing them etc. You'd come back 3 weeks later and you "honey hole" is now filled with others. Trust me on this they examine everything in the background of your pics!

KM,

Not to be rude but didn't you and another F-H member have it out over calabogie/trout?

Not to put my nose in this too much or anything. But you know its a contentious issue on here to name lakes, spots etc.

maybe you missed the  There is nothing wrong with the waters or the trout near the Sault. The Soo and area is renounded for its fishing and hunting resources! I am all for G2G Fishing. Alot of people are C&R guys

If we are weren't avid fishermen and obviously addicted to the sport we wouldn't be here! lurkers or not. There are plenty of informative sites and books produced that showcase area fishing hole. The MNR produces stocking reports for "f's" sake. So if you think that a few people on fishhawk are gonna ruin a fishery...fagetaboutit. F-H's will go and fish and have a good time. From the F-H's I have met most if not all are all about the sport and do not abuse nature or her resources. I remember a G@G day for Wolfe on Contance Lake. Lots of fish caught, lots put back, fishery still going strong

Look at all the Hotspots "petrie, Mcclarins, contance, buchams etc etc etc....

I am not worried about lurkers on fishhawk finding out about spots....IF it was that great and was that secretive then the last thing ANYONE would do is post it on a public forum

Have a great Trout day and enjoy it.
