Nylon vs Rubber... What's your preference of net?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Cool, I really look forward to it. I like to learn new stuff. If you also wish I would also really like it if you could teach me how to properly handle the big trophy guys out of the net too. :D

As a kid my fishing gear was all hand me down and no one ever showed me how to fish or how to handle fish. If you could also show me how to properly hold the big ones by the gill plate as well I'll be your friend

I try to make that sound light hearted and easy going but it is the truth, no one has ever teached (I can't remember how to spell tot  ) me proper handling techniques

I'm going to need to know this because my Mr.J. special lures are going to fill the boat with big toothy critters

Net

I love my "Hibernet". It easily stores in a rod locker or where ever you tie down your rods. It is made of nylon and is very shallow so you can quikly remove a fish with little tangling. This may work for mostly Bass guys, also maybe for Walleyes. I have a 56" handle version but wish I bought the 48". The 56" takes two strokes to open because of the length, maybe the 48" would open with just one motion?

No more tripping over the net!!!

I use a rubber net all the time now. But I mostly fish for lakers, bass and pike. For the most part the rubber net works good for all these fish. But I think I could definitely use a bigger rubber net for a good sized pike or lakers. I find the rubber is much better than the old nylon ones. Alot less tangles with the big treble hooks.
