Solar bat sunglasses

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The Moss Green lenses are not specific to Solar Bat. The lense is called "Sight Master" (trade mark) and is one of the best lenses when sight fishing on overcast or dark days. It was developed by a guide from the Keys who sight fished for Tarpon, Redfish and Bone fish.
I found in the bright sun my eyes were more tired at days end.
Here are some companies that use "Sight Master" lenses.
Hobie
Solar Bat
Bolie
Blue Water Optics

and I am sure there are more.

I have a couple pair of Hobie glasses and I love them .
Hope this helps

Ed, I placed an order with www.tacklewarehouse.com over the winter months and threw the glasses in at the last minute. It was the first and probably last time I'll give them my business. Nice website and a good selection of stuff I couldn't find elsewhere, but their billing precautions were extreme to the point that I told them to cancel the order. They backed down in the end and shipped without me having to provide a DNA test or whatever it was they wanted :)

Talked to Mr Stirling today. It seems (according to him) that solarbat are still putting a package together, the end result being that he will stock a number of popular styles to wholesale to dealers. I told him to move me to the front of the line.

Hey folks,

Toobinator is correct . I just received this e-mail from Karl....

"just gettin` ready to fly for 6 days of bucket bashing` and filming... our
solar bat rep for ontario is Bob Stirling at Hi-Line Enterprises, contact
519-837-3095 and he can offer some in-put into which stores have stock ...
its coming along, anglers are now seeing how good solar bats really
are...they are incredible in clear water conditions.
KK"

I fished with Dr. B on the weekend as well and he had a pair that he got from E-Bay. He says they are great.
