Actually that one ther was about 9-10" but I have seen some at Petrie, about twice that size.

Eastern Hellbender

Adtually that critter looks like an Eastern Hellbender. I saw them several times in the St Lawrence a few years ago while SCUBA diving. Didn't know what the heck kind of prehistoric thing I was looking at until I did some internet research. Check out the pics, looks like it could be one
