Keeping fish

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I keep a few SMB each year... say between 12 and 20 a season. I also have started to keep a few pike... I'd estimate that I'll keep about 5-10 pike. I do not catch walleye (yet), but I would keep a few of those as well, again, in the dozen per season range... in fact, if I kept 12 of each of the three species, I'd have more than enuf for my family's tastes, (cept maybe my stepson who'd eat it 24x7 if possible) so that would be max.

Personally, I love the taste of SMB... I grew up on it as a kid at the cottage, and when cleaned properly it's very tasty. I've converted quite a few "walleye only" people to at least admit that SMB is "good also".. I only mention this cause no one has yet to mention keeping bass of any kind.
