People are going through everywhere, I've heard of multiple incidents on Quinte this past weekend as well. I'm hoping the "itch" of the closing weekend on quinte doesn't make people forget their common sense at home. Time to start double checking everything, and keep our eyes peeled for anglers in distress.

Pretty sure if you read the post, I did not call him a crackhead. However, I may have not disagreed with whomever called him that. There is a total difference in the ice on the Mississippi (escpecially at the given location), and the ice on the Ottawa River.

I am done with you people from the Harley, or the Valley, or where ever you're from. Some people "get it", some don't.

This is indeed a tragic story especially from the drivers perspective. Losing his girlfriend like that.

I said the same thing to some people at work today.

One thing I would add though, doors unlocked also. The "auto-lock" feature should not be forgotten about when pulling onto the ice.

I think it is the end of the season for me. Some guy was passing out posters for a tournament in Quyon this weekend but looking at the Chats lake camera I think it may be a bit tricky? Bad place in the first place being so close to the power dam in my opinion.

A couple of my neighbours fish for barebut when the river thaws and the levels come up. Should happen soon the way the temps are going.
