Am I being fed a pack of lies?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

devon

you can even try making your own map from the mnr site. you can add topographical lines etc, it doesn't show all of the atv trails etc, or the trails from lake to lake in the back country. it doesn't replace the eastern ontario back roads map book, but you can zoom in and print off an area and mark the trails on the map. there has been some new logging activity around the calabogie area so more trails are opening up.

trade your honda pos for a honda atv and have fun exploring the back country. Some of the lakes are easier accessed from Plevna (grindstone)

Shiner is the easiest to get to as its right beside a paved road. Long is easy too except for the spring. Limestone usually needs a suv or 4x4 although I have driven in there in a station wagon before.

google maps and google earth are fantastic as well and free. World of maps has topo maps on CD.

Looking at the topo maps to get names and visiting google maps at the same time for satellite shots works great.
