Hi Mblaney ... could not agree more ... I have had discussions with friends about the whole Global Warming scenario .. is it causing the earth to warm up? Is thew earth actually warming up ... some say the data points to a cooling period over the last 10 years. I really haven't got a clue ... This is a debate for another post or likely another site since it's not directly related to fishing.

what I do know, and which no one can deny is there is still a heck of a lot of pollution around the world ... i grew up just a short drive from the "tar ponds" in Cape Breton, N. S. ... google that if you want to see mess. We also don't have to look far here ... how much raw sewage does Ottawa spill into the river each year ... I'm not even sure if they know ... factories, plants, etc all are still polluting like crazy .. we're a lot better that we were 30 years ago but we're still polluting ... google "garbage island" and see what you get ... the ocean is becoming one big garbage can and we (civilization is doing nothing about it .. nothing). Have you ever heard about "dead zones" in the ocean .. i'll save you the trouble of googling it ..

Anyway I'm going to get off my soapbox now but I have to admit ... I have 2 pre-school children and sometimes i wonder what non-polluted bodies of water will be left when they are my age ...

ok thats enough ... this is starting to bring me down !!!
