After years of doing it, that's the key to pickin' RJ!
Wait until 11-12 then go out. I find roughly 30% are out of their holes by then, making the pickin's easy
The more the rain is falling too, the more they come out quicker....

Just came in from picking about 3 dozen. About 15 dozen to go
Why do worms come out at night? I know that they are very light sensitive but what is the purpose for surfacing during the dark??

Yepper tonight.....my lawn is just saturated with water right now so they are poppinn up all over. Don't hafta have rain RJ..a good heavy dew works well also.
