Now that my baby is put away for the winter and all thoughts of soft water must be postponed until next April, I guess I too must start thinking of ice fishing again.

I got back into it again about 3 /4 years ago, and after watching and listening to some of the experts on this board about all the new advancements in equipment, I went out and bought myself a Fish Trap, Vexilar FL-18, a manuel auger, and a couple of rods/reels, and "mid winter cabin fever" is now a thing of the past. Its amazing how a little fresh cold air out on the ice can get rid of winter "blahs" regardless of what species is targeted.

I look forward to meeting some of you on the ice again this winter.

yup.. lots.. no hut.. just soak up the sun when its there, fish for trout, walleye and pike.

Sometimes I think I like ice fishing better  than boat fishing.
