I dont mind the odd weatherman joke, we have tough skin (for the most part)... but these weather systems that come in with temperatures near freezing .... 1-2 degrees one way or the other and its the difference between 1-2 feet of snow or 1 -2 inches of rain (yes 1 inch of rain converts to abount a foot of snow).

or in the summertime, quit often 1 or two degrees in temperature can mean the difference between a bright and sunny day or a pounding thunderstorm... all depends on the day... what I am getting at is... its pretty easy to complain about somebody/something you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about.

Is weather forecasting a perfect science? NO, Will it wever be? NO.... but you can do/learn a lot to make better use of a forecast to save/protect your own life when your out in a boat.

Just forecast every possible type of system with a 50% chance and you'll always be prepared for anything.
Example, for today and everyday there is a 50% chance of sun, 50% chance of rain, 50% chance of snow etc...
You can even use this formula for pretty much anything else, like when you go fishing there's a 50% chance you might get skunked, 50% chance you'll lose your favourite lure to a pike etc.

There's also a 50% chance most of you have stopped reading this by now... See how well it works?!
