Google's at it Again!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Google's at it Again!

Post by beadhead »

Thought I'd share this since there was a fair bit of interest when the Google maps/satellite photos area came on line. (My apologies if this has already been posted.)

http://earth.google.com

Those of us who were amazed at what Google had done with the satellite photos before.....they have taken it to a whole new level!

You can zoom, tilt, fly around, create layers, get directions, etc, etc. I played with it for 20 minutes and just scratched the surface. Try taking a look at the Hoover Dam from about 3500 ft!

It does require a software download, broadband access, and some good graphics horsepower.

Enjoy.

Played with it myself a few weeks back.... loved checking out the Calabogie area although the graphics weren't as good as the urban areas.

As this is probably low tech compared to what the US military uses you have to wonder why they can't find Osama
