WHAT TYPE OF TRAILER BRAKES..
Trailer Brakes
Hi Dr. Wedge, I have a Skeeter 18. 5 and I recommend electric brakes in your case not just because of cost but overall effectiveness.

Hey Mike you are wrong your right give Orville a call at Stittsville Trailersmikemicropterus wrote:I think
and this can be confirmed by a call to a trailer shop that submerging electric brakes in water or any other liquid would be a NO NO
. I could be wrong but a phone call would determine that. I agree with the idea of discs vs drums but most kits are discs now, it really depends on the axle. Most come with the "plate" to attach all the stuff to. When I did the brakes on my wife's horse trailer "electric" the recommendation was to stay away from putting them in water.
