Rebel minnows, any good?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Rebel minnows, any good?

Post by dh99 »

Hi guys

I have been giving about 20 rebel minnows new in the boxes, from 3-5 inches in length, some are jointed and some have that holographice painting on them.

I have never used them before and was wondering if anybody has and how they did with them and how did you fish them.

Thanks

I picked up a decent rainbow with a holographic/blue rebel minnow last spring, longline trolling in about 12 feet of water, in Georgian Bay near Wasaga.

The non-jointed ones are very subtle, wnich seems to be great for cold water use. I haven't used the jointed, but they must have a fairly good action for the summer months.

The little ones are the best trout bait I have ever used!

They slay just about anything else too.

However if you are displeased with them like cornplanter2 said just pack em up and mail them out.. I'm willing to share with cornplanter2!

Sorry steve

they are all shallow divers no deep divers.

Looks like I will be trying out some new baits this summer, thanks for the info guys.
