Moira River
Moira River
Has anyone had any luck on the Moira this summer? Planning a trip this week to hit a few spots I know of and wondering how the fishing has been so far
Sean, I'll be down there soon to show you how it's done! LMAO!!!
Seriously, if Sean can't put a musky in the boat on that river, no one else will either. To say he knows the fishing there is an understatement.
I have a feeling that deeper pools are the ticket and slow rolling spinnerbaits or jigging soft plastics will be a good tactic during these hot muggy spells.

Well I don't know if things are starting to improve or I just got lucky but since my post I've got 2. The first one was a 44incher on a topraider while casting from my dock while my daughter was playing in the sprinkler and the second, a 45incher, was yesterday on the same topraider. I didn't get pics of either fish because of the high water temps and I didn't want to take them out of the water. Hopefully it is just the start of good things yet to come.
Nice catches Sean!
I'm not going to be taking any more out of the water pics unless I get a 50"+ as it's too stressful on the fish. I already have some nice pics and memories of me holding the 48" and 41" so there's really no need to take any more ego shots unless the fish is really special.
I'll be getting on the water with Sean in the near future and hope to battle it out for that 50" we both want for our photo collection!
Think we'll fish the cabbage beds out in the lake this time Sean. You already know where a MONSTER musky was last season.
