Has anyone ever fished the Trent River just upstream of where it opens in Rice Lake? We're thinking about renting a cottage there for May 24 long weekend but I don't know much about the area. Fishing from shore would be great (keep the wives happy because we're still within nagging distance ) but we'll probably also have a boat with us. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

If this is where you are staying you will have fun. Good fishing right off the docks. Some big walleye in there. Big minnows on a floating jig with slip sinkers.
