Potential new World Record Dogtooth Tuna

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Potential new World Record Dogtooth Tuna

Post by milchner »

Hi Canadian Friends,

puuuh, how can I start? Well, at first pleas excuse that I haven´t visited this wonderful site some months.

There is a small island in the Indian Ocean called "Rodriguez". This island is located near Mauritius. Some people say it is the island where the taifuns get born. Yes, there is a lot of wind.
In the early year 2007 Stephan Kreupl (a friend of me) caught the actual Blue Marlin World record in the 80lb class. The fish had excactly 1238lb! When you want to see this fish, you can visit the site of Stephan. There is a report in english too.
The fish could be caught (how you can read in the report) on the boat with the skipper Jan Collas.

Now, a lot of months later, this region and this boat is back again with a fantastic monster Fish.
A Dogtooth Tuna with over 100kilo, again on the boat of Jan Collas.

When I read the message....I couldn´t believe.....

Best wishes from Munich,
Uwe
