Mosque lake Ompah

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Yeah I dont like to hear that Sean...I fished it for three days last year and nothing. My father was up to the cottage and said there were a few guys out and one local guy was getting a bunch of bows, and 1 good laker that was around 12lbs he said...He cried to have to let it go back

They are few and far between now so most cottagers release all lakers caught unless they are to hurt and will die.

I fish there every other weekend all year basically. I usually catch alt more lakers that bows. I would say about a 70/30 split ah maybe 60/40. I have seen a couple of 20 plus pound lakers come out of there. Actually I have a pic of my mom with a 18 lb laker back in the 90s. I find most bows and lakers are between 19-26 inches some bigger. I also put almost everyone back in the lake as I love fishing but not much for eating them.

We are up every weekend as well Swago and there is also High Noon on hear that has a cottage. Last year we caught 2 lakers and about 20 bows. The bows were all around 1-2lbs ( last few years stockers). One cottager got a 15lbs laker last year but only that one fish for him. Do you try Dog Leg bay at all ( that is what we call it ). It is the bay way down the lake and around the corner.
