Tuesday Night Bite

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Tuesday Night Bite

Post by Netman »

Hit a favourite spring time spot for bullhead with my good buddy Riverdog last Tuesday night. Thinking it was still a little too soon our expectations weren't that high. Got to our location around 9:30 PM. Set up and within 10 minutes we were getting bites. For the first 2 hours the bite was steady, even got doubles which is a good sign. After 11:30 the bite was sporadic. Even the wild life was on the move. Bats flying around, beavers slapin their tales, spring peepers chirping loudly in the bull rushes. AHHH spring. After all was said and done we caught a couple dozen with lots of misses. Took one pic of the biggest one caught.(not a very good pic) It was great to be out. Probably go back out this weekend.

Just got off the phone with another good buddy of mine. He and 4 friends went last night to the same spot and hauled in 70   between 7:30 and 12:00 along with a few jumbo perch :o I'll be going with the kids for a few hours tonight, I hope. The way they're biting i may not even get a chance to wet a line myself i'll be too busy baiting hooks and removing fish.

Hey Jeeptj2.5, any creek along the St. Lawrence River should have lots of bullhead biting now. We were fishing west of Brockville. Best of luck.
