Lowrance 320 GPS map Question

Post by ZmanNC »

Taking a trip to Newboro lake in a couple weeks and I wasnt sure if my Lowrance 320 would show Newboro on it (or any Canadian lake for that matter...coming from NC). Does anyone know where I can get a map chip or download so the Mrs. doesnt get too mad at me for getting us lost somewhere out there? Not sure what map will include Newboro. Hopefully it wont be too expensive. If anyone has one for sale, (or rent lol), I'd be interested in that as well.

If you are going to newboro you should get a chip. Newboro is attached to 4 other lakes (clear, indian, mosquito, and benson)

To go to the other lakes you will need a chip to show the stump fields and how to get around.

The chip you need is the navionics Hotmaps Platinum or Premium chip for canada

Great thanks, I appreciate that. Just ordered it. I assume its pretty easy to pop the chip in on the 320. Mine is mounted in the dash but I think it has a screw on the front. Is that where you install the chip?
