Lack of Fishin Stress

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lack of Fishin Stress

Post by Figmo »

Well, here it is Friday (can you say Hallelujah!) and the weekend looks great. That’s about as far as my positive outlook goes as I am between boats (still). The rods are ready, the line is new, tackle boxes have been organized yet again and I haven’t even gotten a lure wet! My neighbor who has a boat likes to fish or should I say dabble at fishing (once every two weeks is his idea of regular fishing) but he has promised to take me out (sometime).
Last night I sat down and took a long look at my future prospects for the summer and I have to tell you they look bleak. The pressures building and I simply can’t take it anymore. So tomorrow morning if you happen to drive by the rest stop/picnic area just before Cumberland and you see a burgundy Intrepid parked there you can be assured that I am sitting on the shore somewhere close by looking for a spot where the fish are stupider than I. Good fishin y’all

Good luck Figmo! A day by the water won't cure you, but it'll give ya a fix until your next outing! :)

Figmo, I feel your pain. If you are between boats, why not try to pick up a cheap used one you can car top. It may not be a 21' bass boat with 225 on the rear, but you become captain, and master of your own destiny.

Also, the Seahawk2 which was posted earlier would be an economical solution to your problem.

The good news around here is you do not have to get far off the dock (it at all) to get into some decent fishing.

Good luck. I will drink many beers in your honour tonight to help drown your sorrows (it is the least I can do).

Stress Bites. And I'm getting nipped myself. Can't stand it.

Countdown for me is on: 1 week 'til a mini getaway to Gananoque Lk. Looking forward to it more than I could possibly say! :D

Everyone get out there this weekend and have some fun...as the new age folks would say, "detoxify" and release some endorphins, or whatever it is that makes you feel good. No need for expensive psychotherapy -- just find some water and your trusty rod & reel!

ENJOY.

Thanks for all the kind words and advice. I expect that after a few honey brown lagers tonite this will all seem a bad dream. Tomorrows expedition will hold me until I can get on the water ('stead of in). Cheers
