Stopped in to say Hi!

Post by LostFisherman »

I've been away from the board for quite awhile and just wanted to say Hi to the guy's that helped me get startted in fly fishing here. I have had a lot of fun at it and have broadened my horizions with it. I now fly fish for both Trout and Bass and am loving every minute of it. I have never been over to your neck of the woods to fish as I mainly go up aroung the Thunder Bay area while in Canada. If any of you ever get down in the states in Wisconsin or Missouri area and are looking for some spots to throw your line feel free to PM me and I can give you some nice spots. In Missouri Bennett Springs State Park is a must for Rainbows and Browns! It is a tripp well worth it. Once again thank you all who helped turn me to the DARK SIDE!

Bernie,

Glad to hear that you're completely addicted to the sport now. I just got back from an OFS outing just outside of Ottawa for rainbows. The fishing was reasonably good and weather cooperated for the most part. The biggest fish taken while I was there was a 28" (6lb) bow. If it didn't have so much color you'd mistake it for a steelhead. For the guys that stayed the extra day, it will be interesting to see if anyone can beat it.

On a side note, if you didn't know Brian (aka Fishboy) moved to Japan (for work) and if flyfishing whenever he can over there as well. Seems he's taken to carp on the fly as well.

Cheers,
Todd
