Shirley's Bay Jan 17th - And a Thanks

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Shirley's Bay Jan 17th - And a Thanks

Post by snooter »

Hey fellow Fish-Hawkers,

First I'd like to thank the ppl who make this site such a positive place and allow an newbie to ottawa fishing to hear about a few places to fish.

Report:
This past (and very cold) Monday a friend and I took his jeep out to shirleys bay for the day to test our luck. We were near to shacks that were furthest west of the group in about 11-12 FOW. Fishing was slow at first but then picked up a bit. Ended up gettin 3 perch (2 decent sized) and two eyes (one smaller than the perch...lol). If was nice to get out there haven't done much of it since moving from North bay to go to school. Biggest catch of the day - the frozen pike his hound-lab mix found buried in the snow, pretty funny to see her running back with a 25 incher across the ice...

Keep at it guys,
Snooter

Hey Snoot,

I found that pike half buried in the snow beside our hut. I only hope someone lost it accidently as opposed to wasting/killing it.

Glad the dog removed it from the area though :)
