info on Hermitage lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

info on Hermitage lake

Post by goudieb »

Hi all.

Just wondering if anyone has information on Hermitage Lake, not far from Eganville? I've tried finding information on the web, but there isn't much on it.

From what I can see using the crown land atlas, there is a small tip of the lake that is accessible by crown land (the North-West tip) from Verch road. And Fish ON-Line shows some fish species that I'd like to target.

So I'm just wondering if anyone has any info on the lake, where a boat could be put in (if at all), etc... Not looking for any honey-holes.

Thanks,
Brian

Hey Brian I really don't think you would stand a chance of getting on that lake. That is what is called the man made lake and is private property all around it. I think the crown you talk about is not assessable unless you know somebody in there on one of the cottages. I know the guy that owns the property going in off the highway and I would say forget it. I know some guys that got in there a few times and they were not there for long. It was actually a small creek that was dammed years back and formed the lake.
I am told there is some super bass fishing there but it is well protected from the owners. Good luck if you try.

Thanks for the info Laker.

It's mildly disappointing, but not unexpected.

Cheers,
Brian
