I was searching info about prey fish in Ottawa River and I came across this study made on Walleye and Sauger quite a while ago.
https://ruor.uottawa.ca/handle/10393/11003
I couldn't help wondering if this study will still be accurate today and if are there newer studies out there and/or similar studies on other species?
Is there anybody who knows about them and cares to share?

Re: Ottawa River fish studies
Not necessarily related to bait fish but I found "A Biological Synopsis of Walleye" from the federal department of fisheries and oceans. Interesting read and it dates from 2009.

There's actually a few publications for some of the most popular species, just type "A Biological Synopsis of Smallmouth Bass" in google and it will give you a link to the publication.
