Constance lake is the only lake really close to me so I decided to fish it Saturday afternoon cause I had a couple hours to kill. Since it’s such a small shallow lake water temp was already 82F. Doesn’t seem to be any off shore structure on the lake so I started fishing shorelines with a frog and when that didn’t work switch to flipping.
Constance lake is a very small lake so if you decide to go catch and release really helps to keep small fisheries healthy. The other thing about the lake is there only seems to be one boat launch and there’s no parking. So to park it’s a 10.00$ Fee.
Got into a few nice bass. Found them up shallow in lily pads. Reminded me how much I like flipping So much fun pulling them out of slop.

Good report! the lake is good until it gets later in the season and turns into a huge weed bed. no pike? usually you can't keep em off.

What's the guy who has no right to charge to launch charging these days? Not his launch but hints he'll call bylaw if you don't pay him for parking. Nice.

He's well within his rights, it's been like that forever. He can't charge for launching but does for parking on the property he owns. It's a fire access road so no on street parking is allowed.Lindy Rigger wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 11:30 am What's the guy who has no right to charge to launch charging these days? Re: Constance Lake
I think flipping and pitching plastics is my favourite way to fish bass. Nice ones!
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.
