A different type of fishing that has seen rewards been reaped by many. This forum allows us to learn more about Float and Fly fishing from those who have made it their number 1 way to fish.
I hope you picked up a few Clouser minnows and some heavier woolly buggers as they're great for evening eyes, which might come in handy on your trip to La Verendrye Park.

Well, I picked up a bunch of flies... but none of those.
I didn't bring my fly-line up on the trip... probably a good call given the lack of fishing that was done. It was also really windy. Anyway, only fished a couple of hours total... and only one very small (16"?!) pike caught!
joco - yeah, lets go! I'll bring a few types of rods / gear and we can give them all a try! pm sent!
Are you done thinking yet?
I'm going camping this weekend... bringing spinning, baitcasting... and Fly gear! I'll have some pics of my first bass(es?) taken on the fly posted early next week...

Well the fewer things you can get tangled on is better. Fly boxes, etc that sink are bad and if you're in the habbit of dropping rods overboard, rod leashes are a good idea as well.
