Hey Everyone,
I just wondering when the ottawa area launches are closed (mississippi/St lawrence/rideau/Ottawa etc) This is the first fall with my boat and want to plan out just how long the fall fishing season will be.
Thanks,
when do the local launches close
Re: when do the local launches close
As far as I know, they never close. Just use common sense when launching your boat.
I'm a goin' fishin', mama's goin' fishin' and my baby's goin fishin' too.

The water can get pretty low in the fall. As Gord says it's not so much about the launches closing as it is about them being usable.

When you can't access the water cause the plow man doesn't fish and has piled the snow right in front of the ramp, or when your lures start to bounce.

A lot of the local launches take their docks out after Thanksgiving weekend but as others have said as long as the water levels are good you can still launch.
