I had been spoiled by that long warm fall. Today I went out and felt the water. It was nippy out there, the water was frigged, and no carp nibbles. The air temps here are not even hitting 50 degrees on the high of the day. Carp are supposed to stop feeding at 50 degrees. Went to a new spot and saw a good sized bass jump.
I'm wondering if small bodies of shallow water will warm significantly if we have a trend of warmer weather later in the fall.
...or is it time take my gear apart, lessen the drag on the reel, and start pinning for the spring.
