B.B.444's log on June 1, 2005 with a pic!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

That you can pull Bass off of their beds??? Are you lacking recognition in your life? Obviously this display of insolence stems from some type of frustration you have experienced...are you short?? Are you looking for respect from fellow anglers???? If so, you are going about it all the wrong way, in fact, you are losing respect in my opinion...you seem to lack attention or something, and are willing to cross the line to get it. Is your "self esteem" impotent and that Bass is your idea of an erection???? Too bad you have to go this extent to fullfill your "SHORT" COMINGS....all the pic and story tells me is that you can yank an OOS spawning Bass of it's bed....but you can't catch a decent pike to save your life...keep working at it though....one day you'll get the hang of it

Mikey

P.S. We're getting tired of seeing the different pics of the same fish.....if that fish isn't dead from flash exposure...it's a miracle hehehe!

Wow your a real e-thug arent you Mikey??....For some reason I was under the impression that personal attacks were forbbiden on FH.. Guess it depends who you are..
I agree 100%. This is uncalled for. Someone posting like this deserves the delete button as much as a OOS fish poster. I don't agree with either of those things btw.

Is there any chance that BBB would be willing to retreact his allegation that the users of this site are all "rookies"?

While I may indeed be a rookie fisherman, I don't like having it rubbed in my face!

Taking pictures of OOS fish is like taking pictures of strippers with their clothes on. You end up with a picture that's worthless....

I would like think the Moderators of fish hawk will be considering a ban on future oss photo posts . After problems like this one ( This is not the first)I beleve that this would be a good idea to head off any future so called missunderstandings . I will wait and see if they get the picture ( NO PUN INTENDED)

With all the controversy about OOS bass, spawning bass etc, I'm wondering
if anyone can comment on the reasoning behind opening the season on bass
so early on Lac des Iles Que. Is there too many bass in this lake. I mean they
have already had two tournaments there so the pro's can't be too against pulling
bass off there beds, at least not when somebody deems it legal.
If you check the stats of last weekends Tourney you will see some impressive
weigh ins undoubtedly helped by the spawn, I have to admit I am very tempted
to take a spin up there this weekend myself for a day of fishing....Hhmmmm, does this
make me a bass fisherman or a poacher?

Just curious what people think. :?:

Welcome aboard Jim.

Not sure why your name is so familar with me, but it is. I wonder if I knew a Jim Lahey on the east coast.

Just so everyone is clear, we looking at this with the perspective that we are not assuming anything. We will be looking at the overall big picture of OOS fish, not just this one. We will have a discussion based on the facts, the response from the community, and where we feel our obligation lies on the position we will take.

BB444 has caught a number of great fish and we congratulate him for that. This topic has gone beyond this post as we recieve the same thing every year at this time. The Admins of Fish-Hawk.Net do not condone taking pictures of OOS fish and posting them here. It is a decision that we have made as a personal practise. We also don't condone name calling and accusations which may be false. The question that we need to ask ourselves is.....Do we make our practises a rule that is applied to everyone who frequents this site with respect to posting OOS fish? In this case, It is illegal to attempt to catch fish for which the season is closed, even if you are going to release them. (per mnr) Catching by accident, taking a quick pic, etc is another factor that has been discussed with these types of posts. We will provide our position moving forward shortly.

Thanks,
