Opening day beauties

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Opening day beauties

Post by Trophymuskie »

Finally got out for the first time this year. I went out for 5 hours with my son and we managed 2 big muskies and a 30 inch pike as well.

As the pike hit I realized that we didn't have a net, the boat was in the shop untill this am and I brought all my boxes and rods but forgot the net. The pike was easily hand landed but when the first muskie hit well crap I had to scramble and find that craddle that I keep in the boat just in case of an emergency. Right after the initial hit the fish rolled on the surface letting me know it was a biggie.

Crappy pictures but I never thought that with my new camera and it's 2.5 inch LCD display that my son could mess it up.

A hour or so later my son hooked into this nice one as well. He did not want a picture of him with it but he got the second fish picture right, so right that I had to remove the background. LOL

The background was very recognizable and I would like to keep that spot for myself for a few more years yet.
