Shore-fishing (boatless!) sites in the Ottawa Valley?

Hi everyone,

Can anyone propose some good sites for shore-fishing within 45 minutes or so of Ottawa proper?

Here's a gratuitous pic of a fish we caught last week where the "Crick Brule" meets the Abitibi near Cochrane ON: <img src=http://www.vandewolfshaar.com/albums/co ... .sized.jpg>

The Crick is about 80 feet wide at this point. I believe the fish is a northern pike.

I certainly hope that's a pike, or you're in for some flaming.

That's a beautiful looking spot. Wish I could help you with shore spots, but I'm nowhere near your area but I'm sure someone can help.

Just about any strech of the Madawaska or Mississippi Rivers you can get access to would be my choices...
