Out fishing with the Dad in law

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Out fishing with the Dad in law

Post by 10pointer »

Today I took my father in law fishing this being one of the first times ever that he has went, he really enjoyed himself. The location will remain nameless and if you do recognize it, please don't say anything the place already has enough fishing pressure.
Anyhow we started fishing around 8:30am and not much was happening, other than the occasional Carp rolling, when my Dad in law said I am going to go and get us a coffee, OH YEAH! ;D ;D ;D I needed one, he said to me, I wanna see some fish laying here when I get back :o, pressure, he would not have even made it to the vehicle by the time that I had landed my first pike of the day. Before he came back I lost one trying to swing him up on the rocks, he was a tad bigger than the other. My Dad in law came back and was quite pleased that there was one in the bag. I caught another smaller one that went back and lost a couple more, the Dad in law lost one too :(, had a great day and may have created another addict.

Getting out there and catching fish what more can you ask. It's always a good thing when you take someone out and they have a good time... it's the first step in getting them hooked on fishing. Welcome aboard!
