Lake Francis in WIARTON

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lake Francis in WIARTON

Post by Chunko »

Hey,

has anyone ever fished Lake Francis in/near Wiarton. I need some info on the lake as Im being told by my wife that we rented a cottage on the water (Ah shucks  ) and was hoping to do a little investigating before I go.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jay

Chunko you sure it's near Wiarton? Been going there for 35 yrs and have never heard of it. Then again that doesn't mean anything the locals may have a different name for it.

I'm guessing it's a lake closer to Sauble than Wiarton, small mouth bass and pike are probably the main fish in the lake, the fact they are advertising salmon and trout charters on Lake Huron might make you think :?: Are you going to fish or for holidays?

My wifes cousin has invited us to stay with them for a few days as they have rented a cottage right on the lake. Im going to bring my boat providing they have a decent launch. I plan on calling them for details but was just wondering if anyone on here has ever fished it.
Thanks again,
Jay
