Powerpro on sale

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

As of yesterday, only 2 x 50lbs and 1 x 10lbs at the Rockland store (I got the last 20).

Steve, what colors is the FINS? I use the green power pro, but like all others, don't like the discoloration as it starts to fray.

John, great advise about re-using the line by re-spooling on another. I started doing that this year. :D

Last year I was told Fins was awesome and ended up getting 4 spools of it put on. Had a couple of qestionable breakoffs but wasnt ready to blame the line. In a tourney I lost a big bass and had the line break very easily when snagged on bottom. I came home and threw all of it out.
Im sure glad we have lots of lines to choose from. My wife loves when I spend all sorts of money on fishing related items. :D

the line comes in two colours of green, but doesn't fade nearly as fast as PP.

But then again, my last spool of Power Pro hasn't faded on me yet either...

I put PP 30lb on my baitcaster this year. Up until now I used SpiderWire and never had a problem for 3 years on the same line. I put the PP on as tight as I could but jigging on the Ottawa I hooked bottem a few times and this caused the line to cut into itself. 3 times now I have had to let all the line go out the back of the boat to re-seat it all.

Fished Long Point Bay yesterday throwing a senko with my new 14lb fireline. Loved it! Way better than my old Stealth and Power Pro without a doubt. One wind knot in 3 hours.

fireline is intersting...its a great line, but i really dont like the black colour...

and i've found it frayed easier than other lines...

but theresa has been using it for two years, and hasn't had a single problem with hers.

I've had great results with my Fireline, and the only way I'm going to change is if Berkley suddenly stops making with no warning. The only reason I've got mono on my spinning gear is because I got spooled by a fat rainbow and the local baitshop only Berkley XL or XT.
