The Gouin Reservoir in Quebec is my choice and has been for over twenty years. With regards to 20# walleye - I've seen a few during test nettings by the biologist crews, in fact the biggest was just over 23#s - it pays to be sceptical but they do exist.
I'm heading up next week on a trip to Nemio Outfitters - in fact have a couple of openings if anyone wants to join in. The details are here - http://groups.msn.com/McQonFishing/fish ... flair.msnw

20 years ago I caught a 14 lb walleye in the BOQ. Ron Reynolds of Bath was one of the top taxidermists in the world at the time and he mounted it for me. I think that mount along with a 20 lb BOQ northern he did for me graces the walls of a roadhouse north of Kingston someplace....last I heard anyway.
I would agree there is no place to catch walleyes in eastern Ontario like the BOQ (although I don't think like 20 years ago) but now I like fishing nice scenic spots and how I fish matters more to me than what I catch. The BOQ never did anything for me that way. Give me one of the natural lakes in Lanark county or the Land O Lakes. Yes you do have to look harder but they are still there. This spring I had a very memorable night on Pike Lake north of Westport. Those walleyes were gorgeous......black gold.
