..you mean bring the old guy in the boat!...since I fish 99% of the time alone. I always have my cam in my takle box...Mc Laurin Bay is like Rockland landing site ....always someone on shore at this time...I don't
take photos of LMB under 5 pounds anymore...so far this year I have 5 or six of them....this one is my biggest of the year...6.3 pounds. I put her in a bag and used my Berkley digital scale. She was 20'' long and very
girthy. I did use my string to cary her on shore...better in the water than in the boat....I was not going fast with the boat to put less stress possible.

She was on the string for 5-10 mins....she went back in with no problem.

Was out there last weekend with Iceman and we must have caught 35+ largies but none that looked like that

Impressive looking fish for sure! As for the handling and conservation skills, not the least bit impressive....

You seem to catch a lot of decent size largies, but I wonder how many find an untimely and preventable death due to being dragged around on a stringer back to shore, in order for you to capture the moment for prosperity. A 6+ lb. largie dragged across the lake for 5 to 10 minutes??? Gimme a break...
Ever thought about putting a cooler fitted with an air pump in the boat?? I'm sure you can grab one at CT for less than $50.. Might be worth looking into. Or how about using the self-timer on your camera and taking the photo at the moment of capture? Or perhaps letting those big breeder of fish go when out on the lake, instead of playing the towing game back to the dock...
Sorry for the rant, folks....I don't have a problem if someone wants to keep fish, eat fish or whatever, but to catch trophies and drag them around the lake is equal to cruelty in my mind. If you said you were going to mount it, all the power to you. But to release it after a tug of war match with an outboard? Very sad indeed....I'm sure PETA would love the way you approach fishing

Shows how I view the world through rose colored glasses...I thought this magnificent bass was caught from shore.

BB444, I really welcomed your post and was excited for your exceptional fish. But I also could not agree more with those that condemn bringing such a specimen in to shore on a stringer for a photo shoot.

I think you are an accomplished bass fisherman, but it seems you refuse to update your practices to help ensure more mega bass like this for the future. Just because a fish swims away doesn't mean all is well.

Sorry; my thoughts though.
