OK, so what's for round 2.
Never caught a muskie before, but RJ, you'll change all that for me soon won't ya.
Anyways, I've heard muskie are tougher and I think by the looks of 'em I'd believe that. But, I'm with Big-O, the few chinnys I've hooked into exhibited super fish strength.
Now, if they made a 40" Brook trout or smallmouth I'd have to maybe sway my vote.

I only caught 3 muskies and 12 pikes above 40" and I don't see any difference in the fighting ability, even if a musky of that size is a much younger fish than a pike.
For both fish the better fights are had when you catch them casting vs trolling.
What about barracudas? I caught a couple of them the other day, while casting for musky in the Ottawa.

I have heard comments about Pike being a one run fish and have to admit that a lot of the ones I have caught were just that.
This year though I have caught eight Muskies and was not really impressed with the fight from 6 of them, the other 2 were pretty good.
I did catch a 30 pound carp last year and I have to say that is the best fight I have had from any fish, that fish just kept bulldogging me. It was like trying to pull in a towtruck and it took longer than any fish I have ever caught to get to shore.
I caught a 29 pound Grouper in the Gulf of Mexico two years ago that fought pretty good, but the Carp won over that fish too.
I think a 40" carp would be about as good as it gets though.
