This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

hi all

there no perfect vehicule,,,,,in winter,,,,,

in big snow,,,a skidoo is the way to go

on ice,,,even up to 6 inch off snow,,,,,a atv,,,,

if you have to go on the road before going onto the ice,,atv is better,,

there always good old reliable skidoo 4 sale,,,,that would be good anaught to go ice fishing,,,,,

but a atv will go around all year long,,,,and you can work wit it,,,,trailer,,snow plow,,,,,

see my post in non fishing. Drove a 2005 yamaha 450 w/independent suspension for a week this summer and let me tell you what a sweet ride, Once I got in deep in a blueberry bog, a winch is a must. There were no trees so winch your self to the other machine and out you go,.
You can buy tracks for the winter but I beleive this would slow the machine down.

M3, an friend of mine has one and he really likes it. I drove it for an afternoon a couple of autumns ago and found it to be a comfortable ride with lots of power. We tore thru mud and creeks no prob and the only place I got it stuck was going up a steep sandy hill. No winch so we had to dig it out and descend backwards (which sucks).

If you do go with a new one, let me know how it performs for you. The girlfriend and I are shopping for one right now and I'm still torn between brands. I own a Polaris sled but I'm actually leaning towards Arctic Cat or Zuki atvs... decisions, decisions...
