Fella's, I'm not going to be able to make this. MT buddy, sorry. :oops: :?

I've got a little traveling scheduled for the next month and with this price of gas, something has to give...it's just too expensive to be running all over the place.

Here's the facts. It takes me a tank of gas to go to Ottawa and a tank to head back - $125+ to fill up right now....here's what I have planned over the next month:

Rumble - Gas $250, Reg $10 = $260
Bass'n for Bucks - Gas $250, Reg $65 = $315
BOQ Adventure Weekend - Gas $200, Boat gas $100, Reg $200 = $500

...and this is just the set costs, not all the variable things like food, gear, ect and doesn't include local smaller trips.

For 3 trips - $1075+. I have an understanding wife, but this is asking a bit much.

Sorry gang, I'll have to catch you all another time. Bill, grrrrr, what can I say. Sorry bud.

Markus, don't sweat it bud. I'm sure the gas prices will curb a few trips for everyone eventually.... There'll always be a next time. Hopefully you'll be able to attend the next Rumble already in the works for next season. :wink: :wink: Good luck in your tourney and hook a biggun in BOQ....tight lines Bluenoser... :wink: :wink:

BBR,

I wasn't aware the GreyHound went out to the Rockland launch...... :lol:

A cab ride from the Bus station to Rockland will be in the $75 range....just a heads up.... :wink:

Mark, when you put the numbers out there like that it got me thinking how much my Silverado is going to eat over the next month on my road trip. 4000 - 5000 km for this trip. Good thing it only happens once a year, sort of, I guess.

Now I'm starting to think like a southerner. Damn gas prices. :?

actually, the Greyhound makes its stop in Rockland on its way to Hawkesbury each trip out, so BBR will be dropped off mere minutes from the launch... :lol:

Guess what!!!

In my 3 years of working at the big Z.. I have NEVER had a Sunday and a Saturday off in the same week... unless I booked it off (which i didnt)

Well.. my boss must have been taking some happy pills, because I have Sun the 11th and...... Sat the 17th off!!! Sweet!! Unless she made this huge mistake, but if thats whats written down (I called in an asked someone to check for me), then I'll tell her tough luck.

So I'm signing back up!!! Woohoo!!!
