Salmon Report

Post by Fishing Freak »

Me and a bud decided to head to Port hope last night. decided at 4pm, on the road at 5:15pm :shock: :D

Got there at 8pm, had to make a couple quick stops on the way :oops:

Started the night on the pier, fished 3 hours, 2 hits no fish. :(

moved onto the river, which was full of people, :shock: :shock:

By 1:30am the crowds had thinned out, so we got us a pool and stayed there.

By 3am I was 3 for 8. actually it was better then that, but i'm not counting foul hooked fish :shock: :roll:

my bud had 3 on but nothing landed yet.

within the next 2 1/2 hours we had landed 7 more, me 3, bud 4.

Now the fun part. The pics.

Here is the first of the night, a big ol' male, weight on digi's was 24.6lb's and 40" long.

<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y129/F ... salmon.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

Next for me was this litle girl 35.5"

<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y129/F ... c00420.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

then came this med size lady. 37.5"

<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y129/F ... salmon.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

and another girl, 38"

<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y129/F ... salmon.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

then just before we left I managed this huge girl, 39.75" of ticked off woman. :shock: :lol: :lol: :lol:

<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y129/F ... 0queen.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

And Now the highlight of the night, I managed to luck into this beauty 24.75" Brown. Pic is not the best, but it was an awesome fight, and a great addition to the night.

<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y129/F ... 5brown.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

Hope you enjoy the report.

F'Freak,

Hope this excursion means you are well on your way to recovery and feeling a lot better.

You are still a Fishing Freak, that's for sure. What a pile of fish!

That brown is so beautiful & perfect, it looks like you took a mount of the wall & snapped a pic! Gorgeous!

Good going! Keep it up!

W.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Wallyboss: you'll get yours soon, when you do you'll want to make the trip alot more. :D

Chuckles: I love the fight of these fish, we had a great night also. Just had to wait it out for the crowds to clear.

Baz: I love them bonus Browns. To bad the river closes Friday, I would have liked to get up again to try for some more trout before winter.
